Know the Scope Before Work Begins
A professional detailing experience starts with clear vehicle information, a confirmed service list, transparent pricing, and realistic expectations about permanent stains or damage.

Step 2: Provide Vehicle Details
Share the year, make, model, body style, approximate condition, and desired service. Mention pet hair, stains, spills, road salt, sand, mud, tree sap, heavy cargo use, or other conditions that may require extra time.
Step 3: Review Scope & Pricing Criteria
Confirm what is included, what is excluded, the estimated duration, and the price in U.S. dollars. Ask whether state or local sales tax, mobile travel, parking, deposits, or cancellation charges apply.
Step 4: Confirm Location & Weather Needs
Determine whether the appointment is at a fixed location or mobile. For mobile work, confirm lawful parking, property permission, access to water or electricity if required, and the rain, snow, extreme-heat, or freezing-temperature policy.
Step 5: Prepare the Vehicle
Remove valuables, cash, electronics, documents, child safety seats, and cargo from the cabin and trunk. Keep fuel, keys, parking instructions, and access arrangements consistent with the provider’s confirmed requirements.
Step 6: Service & Final Review
After the agreed work is completed, inspect accessible areas and compare the result with the confirmed scope. Raise any scope-related question promptly, while remembering that permanent damage, deep wear, and some stains cannot be corrected by cleaning.
Before You Hand Over the Keys
Photograph any existing paint damage or fragile interior trim, remove personal data from visible documents, and confirm who is authorized to move the vehicle. Never provide a Social Security number, online banking credentials, or payment-card PIN for a detailing appointment.
